The New England Wheelchair Athletic Association
'HALL of FAME' was established in 1999 to recognize the contributions
and accomplishments made by Athletes, Coaches, Program Administrators
and other individuals in developing and promoting Sports for people
with Disabilities.
Candidates are Inducted each year at a Sports
and Hall of Fame Banquet held during the New England Regional Wheelchair
Games. We also recognize 'Athletes of the Year' in 4 categories: Adult
Male, Adult Female, Junior Male, & Junior Female. The Adult Athlete
Awards were renamed in 2003, to the Beata Anderson Award for the Female
Athlete, and the Robert Hawkes Award for the Male Athlete, to honor
the accomplishments of these 2 Great Pioneers in the field of Wheelchair
Athletics. Please take a minute to fill out the Nomination Papers
and send them, along with a letter giving as much information as possible
