About Waupaca Community Arts Board

The Waupaca Community Arts Board (WCAB) believes that everyone in our community is creative. We host a number of monthly, annual and biannual events.

Monthly events include:

Waupaca Local Live: a local community radio and local cable TV program that hosts musicians who play original music. Broadcast on 96.3FM and 99.1FM, the program partners with 22 Lakes Brewery for a monthly post-show super-set played live at the Brewery!
the WCAB Arts and Culture Newsletter: an e-publication delivered to over 800 subscribers that features info on arts and culture events in teh Waupaca area.
the Waupaca Arts and Culture Network: We are core members of a network of arts and culture groups that are striving to collaborate, share resources and improve our community through the arts.

Annual Events:

Summer Nights Concerts: Great regional bands perform on teh shores of Shadow Lake, with awesome food, beer and Family Art Projects! Dance under the moon in Waupaca.
ARTicipation Week and Arts on the Square: the third week in Waupaca is Arts Week, with all sorts of arts related events featuring concerts, projects, workshops, and more, leading up to the annual Street Dance and Arts on the Square! AOTS is an eclectic festival of the arts with 3 music stages, arts workshops, over 40 juried artists, festival food, and a community art project!
April is Poetry Month in Waupaca: a collaboration between the Public Library and WCAB, April is filled with many poetry events!

Bi-annual Events:

Chick Night: a variety show featuring the creative talents of women! music, dance, poetry and art! Girl Power!
The Bach Festival: WCAB coordinates a week long festival celebrating the music and life of JS Bach! From piano recitals to a full Chamber Orchestra Concert, and everything in between, we get our Bach on in Waupaca! Held in October, next festival is this October 2019!
